Job Description

Join the Charge. Create the Future.

At Ultraviolette, we're more than a company—we’re a movement. A movement that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in electric mobility. From engineering India’s Fastest Motorcycle to designing The World’s Most Advanced Electric Scooter, we thrive on innovation, audacity, and the relentless pursuit of performance.

We’re a diverse team of trailblazers, engineers, designers, creatives and visionaries—united by a shared obsession: to craft machines that are not only sustainable but exhilarating. Here, radical design meets intelligent technology, and every line of code or bolt of hardware brings us closer to reshaping the future of mobility.

Our mission is to accelerate the evolution of mobility across the globe - and we’re just getting started.

If you're driven by purpose, inspired by possibility, and ready to build something that truly matters, Ultraviolette is the place where your ambition becomes impact. Let's create the future—together.

Role: Embedded Linux Engineer – Telematics & Connectivity

What you’ll do

Build and scale the communication backbone of a software-defined electric motorcycle.

  • Develop and optimize Linux-based applications on modem platforms (Quectel EC25/EC200)
  • Design robust multi-threaded systems with strong focus on concurrency and stability
  • Enable seamless vehicle ↔ cloud communication:
  • Ethernet socket communication with VCU
  • Cloud integration via MQTT / REST (curl)
  • Drive instrument cluster ↔ modem integration
  • Work with GNSS data (parsing, positioning, real-time integration)
  • Debug complex issues: race conditions, deadlocks, system stability
  • Ensure reliability under real-world riding and network conditions

What you bring

  • Strong foundation in Linux system programming
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • pthreads, IPC, sockets
  • Multi-threading and synchronization
  • Solid debugging skills (logs, concurrency issues, system crashes)

Good to have

  • Experience with Quectel EC25 / EC200 modules
  • Exposure to GNSS / GPS (NMEA parsing)
  • Background in embedded systems / automotive
  • Understanding of networking protocols and stacks

What makes you a great fit

You think in systems, not just code.

You build for reliability in the real world, not just ideal conditions.

You’re comfortable diving into low-level debugging and coming out with stable, scalable solutions.

Note

Experience with EC25/EC200 or GNSS is a plus — but not mandatory.

If you have strong Linux + concurrency fundamentals, we expect you to ramp fast.
