Engineer - BSP - Yocto

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Linux Engineer with expertise in the Yocto Project, embedded Linux platforms, and automated build systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Bitbake, Linux internals, Git-based version control with CI/CD integration, and solid scripting skills using Shell and Python. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing embedded Linux systems for next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Yocto-based build systems for embedded Linux platforms.
• Create and manage Bitbake recipes, layers, and configurations to support custom hardware.
• Integrate and customize Linux kernel and bootloader (e.g., U-Boot) for embedded platforms.
• Develop automation scripts using Python or Shell for build, deployment, and testing tasks.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA teams for seamless integration and delivery.
• Manage version control using Git and support CI/CD pipelines for automated build/test workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve build-time or runtime issues on embedded Linux systems.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Embedded Linux Development with Yocto Project.
• Strong knowledge of Bitbake, layer management, and build customization.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python programming.
• Solid understanding of Linux OS internals, boot process, and device trees.
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with cross-compilation, debugging tools, and build automation.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with BSP (Board Support Package) development.
