Job Description:

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Defines, develops, and performs silicon power delivery and signal integrity validation and characterization across Intel products.
  • Driving detailed workload analysis to deliver power delivery optimization goals across process, voltage, and temperature, identifies gaps, and helps drive the direction of next generation products.
  • Applies deep expertise of voltage regulator designs and ensures enough current is delivered to the IPs powered voltage regulators.
  • Performs power delivery debug and enables robust design fixes through design experiments to root cause the power delivery issue under evaluation.
  • Conducts test and characterization across operating temperature ranges.
  • Develops power delivery and signal integrity validation methodologies, executes validation plans, and collaborates with other engineers for design optimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
  • Applies knowledge of silicon signal integrity design and tradeoffs to perform validation and debug challenges.
  • Develops post silicon validation infrastructure (e.g., performance monitors, behavioral checkers, state space coverage) and test environment used in validation testing.
  • Works with architecture, design, verification, and platform teams to maintain and improve debug, validation test strategy, methodologies, and processes to meet desired product specifications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Computer Engineering or related field Chip/VLSI Design and/or Design Verification. Modern CPU and/or SoC architecture areas, e.g. memory, cache hierarchy, coherent fabrics/links, PCIE, accelerators, performance, etc.
  • Intermediate experience modelling at an individual sub-system/system level as well as across large clusters.
  • Intermediate experience developing and correlating server system performance models.
  • Advanced understanding of computer systems performance principles.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Ability to execute validation plans for hardware products based on understanding of the architecture, design, manufacturing processes, and timing using knowledge of procedures, requirements, and constraints to deliver and finalize validation activities and ensure that a created entity meets the user needs and objectives.
  • Ability to root cause bug and other issues raised with customers including defining next steps and knowledge about common tools used in debugging.
  • Ability to listen effectively, communicate verbally, and communicate in written messages to convey meaning, clarity, and impact.
  • Knowledge of Python, C, C++, and C# and the ability to plan, design, write, and debug code to solve business problems including requirements gathering, software development, debug, and maintenance of the software.
  • Includes expertise in programming data structures and embedded firmware programming in a way that engages the audience.
