Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled SoC Logic Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge development team at Altera! In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of digital logic components for advanced System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions. You will collaborate closely with architecture, verification, physical design, and software teams to deliver high-performance, low-power, and cost-effective silicon solutions for next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement RTL for complex digital logic blocks and subsystems within SoCs using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
  • Collaborate with system architects to define micro-architecture specifications and design requirements.
  • Perform logic synthesis, timing analysis, and linting to ensure design quality and performance.
  • Work with verification teams to develop test plans, debug RTL issues, and ensure functional correctness.
  • Interface with physical design teams to support floorplanning, timing closure, and DFT (Design for Test) integration.

Our compensation is designed to reflect the Canadian labour market. The actual salary offered may vary based on several factors, including the position’s location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, training, and job-specific knowledge. In addition to base salary, we offer performance-based incentive opportunities that reward both individual contributions and overall company success.

Estimated Salary Range: $124.1k – $179.7 CAD

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years' experience in digital logic design and SoC development
  • 6+ years' experience in RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog
