Position Overview

We are seeking FPGA Wireless Communication protocol design engineers to develop wireless communication algorithms   deploy in FPGA and validate  for specified performance

You will develop the pipeline from high-level MATLAB/Simulink modelling down to fixed-point optimization, RTL generation, timing closure, synthesis and hardware validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Modeling & Simulation: Develop and validate wireless communication system signal chains including Modems, equalizers, channel coding, source coding carrier/ frame synchronisation etc.) using MATLAB and Simulink .
  • Fixed-Point Optimization: Convert floating-point algorithms to hardware-efficient fixed-point models, balancing resource utilization and BER performance.
  • RTL Design & Implementation: Utilize MathWorks HDL Coder to generate VHDL code for synthesis and in FPGAs. and validation of complete signal chain
  • IP blocks in FPGA Integrate custom wireless IP blocks into the signal chain
  • Hardware Validation: Perform lab bring-up and verification using AMD/Xilinx Vivado and validation using RF test equipment interfacing with RF teams
  • Required Technical Skills
  • Software & Tools: MATLAB, Simulink, Fixed-Point Designer, AMD/Xilinx Vivado Design Suite . Model Based design methodology
  • Hardware Coding: Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Protocols & Interfaces: AXI4-Stream , AXI4-Lite architectures.
  • DSP & Wireless Theory: Deep understanding of   Wireless digital communication Analog and digital modems, OFDM, DDC/DUC, FIR/IIR filters, and signal processing
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • M.Tech / ME in Digital Signal Processing, Telecommunications, or VLSI.
  • Hands-on experience with AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC platforms.
  • Advanced training/certification from premier institutes ideally covering DSP algorithms and model based development.
