As Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for software development from concept specification, design and implementation to production. Collaborating closely with Product Managers and team members, you will help ensure that we deliver the best possible product — from concept to final implementation.

More specifically you will be:

• Developing energy optimized software for battery applications
• Creating robust software for long time operation without service
• Following the tasks from specification to release and ensure quality in all aspects of the solution

In this role, you will help shape the future of smart water metering solutions by developing embedded software that powers products used worldwide. Your work will drive the software development process forward, ensuring high-quality and long-lasting solutions that make a real difference in how water resources are managed globally.

Meet your future team

With direct reference to the Head of Meters - Water, you will join the department Technology Metering Solutions and Connectivity, which consists of more than 20 experienced and motivated employees with diverse backgrounds in physics, hardware, software, and mechanical engineering. Together, we are responsible for developing the complete solution for our water meters, collaborating across disciplines to create the best products of the future. In your day-to-day work, you will be part of a smaller team of dedicated colleagues led by Team Lead Firmware - Water. The working environment is informal, with a strong focus on open dialogue and professional development.

We are looking for an Embedded Software Developer who enjoys solving complex challenges with simple, robust solutions. Whether you are newly graduated or have a few years of experience, your curiosity, structured mindset, and passion for software development will be key to your success in this role.

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:

• Hold a degree in Software, Electronics Engineering or similar
• Have solid experience with C and are familiar with Python
• Have a basic understanding of hardware
