We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Manager to join our R&D Headset department in Ballerup. This is where technologically advanced Jabra communication and music products are born, and you will be at the heart of our innovation.
The Team you will be part of:
You will manage an Embedded Software team of around 20 Engineers, primarily based in Ballerup, in a truly global setup. You will combine effective people leadership and practical technical understanding to support high-quality delivery, team development, and cross-site collaboration.
The team works across the technologies that make our headsets exceptional — including Bluetooth & USB connectivity, Advanced Call Control, Audio managment, sensors, and AI invocation.
You will report to the Director, Audio & Embedded Platforms in the Development Centre Headsets, part of R&D, and work closely with a leadership counterpart in APAC to support technical and personal growth alignment and collaboration across cultures, locations and ways of working.
As Embedded Software Manager, you will lead a diverse team in a complex international environment. You will play a key role in balancing people leadership, technical leadership, and strategic direction, while helping the organization grow in capability, collaboration, and performance.

Manage and develop an embedded software organization of around 20 engineers
Create a safe and motivating framework where people can grow, speak up, contribute, and perform at their best
Lead a team of both experienced and newer team members, adjusting your leadership style to individual and team needs
Work closely with your APAC leadership counterpart to shape the organization in a global matrix setup
Navigate a complex, international setup with resilience, openness, and an ability to work effectively across different cultures and styles of working
Support employee development, growth, and strategic initiatives
Lead schedule, quality and risk management together with Product Owners and the Quality team
Collaborate closely with Scrum teams ,Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders
Facilitate technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions
Contribute to GN's overall R&D strategies
Collaborate closely with hardware, system, and application software teams to secure seamless integration across disciplines
Promote adoption of new technologies, including AI for embedded software development
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Experience managing embedded software development teams
Experience in embedded software development across the full lifecycle, from concept to launch and in-market maintenance
People leadership skills, with the ability to lead larger teams
A collaborative and approachable style, with ability to build trust across teams, functions, and cultures
The resilience and maturity to navigate complexity, change, and cultural challenges in a global setup
Effective communication skills and the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
Good understanding of wireless embedded chipsets, such as Qualcomm and Airoha
A curious, grounded, and inclusive leadership style, with a focus on creating a supportive and effective team environment
