You Are:
You are a passionate and experienced Analog Design Engineer with a strong background in designing high-speed analog integrated circuits. With a deep understanding of transistor-level circuit design, you are adept at working through SerDes standards to develop optimal circuit architectures. Your experience spans several SerDes sub-circuits, and you are skilled in using a variety of design tools and simulators. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of analog and digital designers. Your excellent communication and documentation skills enable you to present complex simulation data clearly and consult on electrical characterizations effectively.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing SerDes standards to develop analog sub-block specifications.
- Identifying and refining circuit architectures to achieve optimal power, area, and performance targets.
- Proposing design and verification strategies that efficiently use simulator features to ensure the highest quality design.
- Overseeing physical layout to minimize the effects of parasitics, device stress, and process variation.
- Presenting simulation data for peer and customer review.
- Documenting design features and test plans.

Consulting on the electrical characterization of your circuit within the SerDes IP product and proposing solutions for post-silicon design updates.
- Contributing to the development of high-performance SerDes IP that meets industry standards.
- Optimizing power, area, and performance of analog circuits, driving efficiency and innovation.
- Ensuring high-quality designs through meticulous verification strategies and simulator features.
- Improving the reliability and robustness of integrated circuits through careful layout oversight.
- Enhancing customer satisfaction by presenting comprehensive simulation data and supporting design reviews.

Facilitating post-silicon design updates with your expertise in electrical characterization.
- BE+6 years of relevant experience or MTech+4 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and sound CMOS design fundamentals.
- Detailed design experience with at least one SerDes sub-circuit and familiarity with several others (e.g., receive equalizers, samplers, voltage/current-mode drivers, serializers, deserializers, VCO, phase mixer, DLL, PLL, bandgap reference, ADC, DAC).
- Aware of ESD issues and circuit techniques.
- Familiarity with custom digital design and high-speed logic paths.
- Knowledge of design for reliability (EM, IR, aging, etc.).
- Experience with tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification.
- Hands-on experience with physical layout of high-speed circuits is a plus.
- Knowledge of SPICE simulators and simulation methods.
- Proficiency in Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling and simulation-control/data-capture.

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
