Synopsys is seeking a creative and talented engineer to fill a FPGA Design & Verification role in Bengaluru, India. The environment presents stimulating, challenging, and rewarding work within an excellent work environment with positive career development opportunities.
FPGA Design and Verification IP Prototyping team is responsible to build FPGA-based hardware prototypes of Synopsys Controllers and PHY Interface IPs and test them to verify their compliance with leading edge industry standards. We play a vital role on supporting Synopsys IP business by validating key features, and mitigating ASIC potential faults early on, in a prototype.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and verify FPGA-based systems for a variety of applications
- Validate FPGA-based IP prototype 'device under test' against real-world devices, Test Equipment and other hardware systems
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Elaborate and execute test plans and test routines
- Detect, troubleshoot, debug, and investigate potential ASIC issues up front

Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, internal and external customers
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 1+ years of experience in FPGA design and development
- Design and simulate integrated circuitry using Verilog, System Verilog and VHDL
- Familiarity with industry-standard interfaces and protocols such as AMBA AXI or APB, I2C, and SPI.
- Expertise with scripting languages such Tcl, Python, Perl and Bash
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in a positive team environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Familiarity with SCM tools like Git
- Experience with FPGA development tools such as Vivado or Altera Quartus.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Data-Analyzers.
- Familiarity with the MIPI-I3C Protocol

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
