Job Description

A pioneering Israeli technology company is transforming the logistics and warehouse management sector through advanced autonomous drone technology. The organization develops fully autonomous aerial systems designed to optimize inventory tracking and facility management in real-time.

By integrating sophisticated computer vision, robotics, and flight control, the company provides a high-scale solution for some of the world's most complex supply chain environments.

The company's R&D center is located in Central Israel (prime location near major logistics hubs) and operates an in-office work model.

Role Overview:

  • Technical Leadership: Leading the design, development, and implementation of the robotics and autonomous perception stack for the company’s drone fleet.
  • Autonomy & Perception: Overseeing complex challenges in SLAM, sensor fusion, and navigation to ensure high-precision indoor flight.
  • Flight Control & Planning: Driving the development of sophisticated Path Planning and control algorithms using the PX4 stack.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Heading cross-functional efforts within an Agile environment, bridging the gap between hardware, software, and real-world deployment.
  • Hands-on Engineering: Leading the team while remaining deeply involved in core development using C++, Python, and ROS/ROS2.

Requirements:

  • Advanced Academic Degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field – Mandatory.
  • Proven experience in leading Robotics or Perception teams – Mandatory.
  • Deep expertise in Drones/UAVs, including SLAM, sensor fusion, and autonomous navigation – Mandatory.
  • Extensive professional experience with C++ and Python.
  • Significant hands-on experience with ROS / ROS2.
  • Proven expertise with PX4, control systems, and Path Planning.
  • Demonstrated track record of deploying autonomous systems in real-world environments.
