QuTech, works on radically new technologies with world-changing potential. Their mission is to develop scalable prototypes of a quantum computer and a quantum internet by integrating world-class research and groundbreaking innovation. This uture quantum internet will connect (quantum) computers all over the world. It will enable to send and receive information using quantum bits (qubits) that follow the rules of quantum mechanics. In the Quantum Internet division, our goal is to develop technologies to enable quantum communication between any two places on earth.

What are you going to do as Software Engineer Quantum Networks?

You will join QuTech’s Stack Team, this team works on enabling QNodeOS, an operating system for a quantum node in a quantum network. The role focuses on general software engineering tasks, including systems-level development, agile facilitation, and integration with experimental setups.

You will also be the team's Scrum Master, supporting team dynamics and driving continuous improvement.

Tasks:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of software stack components
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and contribute to way of working of team
• Collaborate with experimentalists to validate software functionality
• Support team communication and foster a culture of open feedback

Do you see yourself as:

• A strong communicator and collaborative team player
• Skilled in C++ (C++17+) and Python
• Skilled in TDD, CI/CD, Docker, and GitLab
• Experienced in working in multidisciplinary, cross-organizational environments
• Interested in quantum technology and willingness to learn
• Having a Master's degree in computer science or a related field, and
• a certified Scrum Master
