Software Engineer - Embedded Testing

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases and automation scripts for embedded systems.
• Create test data, automate tests, and log defects to ensure end-to-end test coverage and quality assurance.
• Develop and enhance advanced test frameworks using cutting-edge tools and technologies.
• Perform functional, regression, and system-level testing on simulated and real hardware environments.
• Contribute to test tool and utility development to improve testing efficiency.
• Review automation scripts to ensure adherence to best practices and maintainability.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to define test strategies, scope, and effort estimation.
• Ensure timely execution of test activities in alignment with project milestones and agile delivery cycles.
• Maintain high test coverage and quality standards throughout the verification & validation (V&V) process.
• Review test artifacts, identify gaps, and implement improvements across workstreams.
• Communicate test results and defect reports clearly to project stakeholders.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and utilize tools such as JIRA for tracking and reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Demonstrate ability to work through ambiguity and apply abstract thinking to solve complex problems.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience in embedded software testing with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages: Java, C++, Python.
• Strong understanding of SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) practices.
• Hands-on experience with TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Time management skills and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
