Job Description:

Altera is a world leader in FPGA solutions. Altera designs and produces FPGAs and the associated development tools.

Come join a creative team of engineers dedicated to designing major digital blocks of the FPGA silicon. We are looking for motivated and astute individuals to join our Verification team as a Verification Engineer. You will be joining a collaborative team responsible for building the next-generation FPGA silicon. Our organization works on all levels of ASIC development, starting from high-level architecture to RTL design, verification and handoff to the physical design teams. The position has excellent opportunities for technical and professional growth, as you work with colleagues both locally and around the globe.

As a verification engineer, you will be responsible for building efficient and effective directed and constrained-random validation environments that exercise designs through their corner-cases and demonstrate conformance to specifications. The work includes both UVM and large C models created in-house which are used as reference. You need analytic and waveform analysis skills, strong knowledge of digital design, understanding of object-oriented programming, and will either have or gain knowledge of the relevant IEEE Ethernet MAC, FEC and PCS standards implemented. You will be responsible for development of UVM benches and tests, developing test plans, coverage plans and coding functional coverage.
