As a Senior Robotics Engineer, you will play a critical role in engineering autonomous robotic platforms, with a focus on humanoids and quadrupeds. You will lead the mechanical design, prototyping, and validation of robotic components, ensuring they meet rigorous performance, durability, and security-specific requirements. Working closely with AI and embedded systems teams, you will integrate intelligent autonomy with robust mechanical frameworks, enabling seamless real-world deployment. Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of autonomous robotic systems, with a focus on humanoids and quadrupeds, ensuring optimal mechanical functionality, robustness, and security-specific requirements.

Work closely with AI and embedded systems teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with intelligent, autonomous capabilities.

Perform structural analysis, simulation testing, and stress assessments to enhance the durability and performance of robotic systems in demanding environments.

Prototype new mechanical components and validate their scalability and production readiness for large-scale deployment across Certis’ operations.

Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to optimise production efficiency and ensure high-quality, cost-effective robotic components.

Troubleshoot, refine, and optimise robotic designs, ensuring optimal performance under real-world operational conditions, especially in security-focused environments.
Skills & Experience

5-8 years of experience in robotic kinematics, dynamics, and actuation systems, with a focus on humanoids and quadrupeds.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, MATLAB, and real-time control systems, with a strong background in robotics simulations and mechanical prototyping.

Experience working with advanced materials, additive manufacturing, and 3D printing for developing high-performance robotic components.

Deep understanding of thermal management, power efficiency, and battery systems in robotic designs, critical for autonomy and durability in the field.

Ability to troubleshoot and improve robotic designs for optimum mechanical performance and operational reliability in challenging environments.

Understanding security and operational applications for robotics in security domains (surveillance, patrolling, etc.) is highly valued.
