Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electronics Engineer – Robotics/Oil & Gas role based in Jaipur. The role involves designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and circuits for robotic platforms used in industrial inspection and asset integrity management. Responsibilities include collaborating with mechanical, software, and robotics teams to integrate sensors, controllers, and power systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and industry standards. The engineer will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance of existing systems, support field deployment and commissioning of robots at client sites, and document designs, test results, and technical reports. The position also includes working with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and support continuous improvement of PetroBot’s products and custom solutions.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong core skills in Electronic Engineering and Electronics.
  • Candidates should possess practical skills in Circuit Design and related hardware development.
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering for power and control systems.
  • Candidates should possess hands-on Testing skills for validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in the development and control of program boards, including Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and associated motor drivers.
  • Experience working with robotics, industrial automation, or oil & gas instrumentation is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus, Ethernet) is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and standards, and to work safely in industrial environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site and support field operations.
