Senior Firmware Verification Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Firmware Verification Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of reliable, high-quality medical hearing devices. The role focuses on firmware verification, test automation, embedded system debugging, and collaboration with global engineering teams to deliver safe and compliant products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute firmware verification plans, test strategies, and test cases based on system requirements.

• Create manual, semi-automated, and automated tests for functional, regression, stress, and performance testing.

• Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Python and C.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).

• Debug firmware and system-level issues using embedded hardware tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

• Support requirement analysis, defect investigation, design reviews, and verification activities.

• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, software, and cross-functional teams to drive product quality.

• Mentor engineers and contribute to process improvements and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in firmware verification/embedded systems (or equivalent experience with advanced degrees).

• Strong programming skills in Python and C; MATLAB experience required.

• Hands-on experience with embedded firmware testing and hardware debugging.

• Experience with automation frameworks, regression testing, and CI/CD environments.

• Knowledge of RTOS, low-level hardware/software integration, and embedded communication protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in medical device development and regulated environments (FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485).

• Experience with DSP, audio processing, BLE/wireless systems, or hearing technology.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and global engineering collaboration.
