What You Need

  • Product design, Embedded Software design and (Control system development experience.)
  • Candidates from Controls Engineering and Embedded Software background.

Responsibilities

  • Work with global teams to design sub systems / systems of process chambers used in semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Develop embedded firmware/software for interfacing sensors, process sensors signal and interface with other software/modules.
  • Define SW requirements and validation plan from system requirement.
  • Development and Analysis of algorithms, optimizations of algorithms, implementing and testing algorithms.
  • Read, understand and design schematics and participate in HW design reviews.
  • Data analysis with large data sets, make graphical representations of data and ability to make conclusions based on plots.
  • Provide solution to a variety of engineering problems involving Control system Design, interfacing Sensors and Actuators.

Job Specific Knowledge

Knowledge Necessary To Perform Job Include

  • Embedded system design: Firmware and Software Development.
  • Programming Languages: embedded C, C++ and Python, and optionally C#
  • Experienced in various Industrial communication protocols particularly ECAT, Device Net, BLE, Ethernet. And lower-level protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, AXI.
  • Hands-on experience in MCU, particularly STM32 family products.

Desired Skills

  • Ability to adapt and work on RnD projects that demands faster execution.
  • Ability to read and understand sensors, actuators and microcontroller data sheets.
  • Ability to define electrical interfaces interface for OEM process control devices, gas delivery and vacuum functional sub-systems based on device datasheets and relevant standards
  • Ability to understand the concepts of motion control, process control, basics of process physics, chemistry in application to on-wafer process control
  • Ability to apply systematic troubleshooting methodology by symptom analysis, design of experiment, application of proper measurement techniques with basic data correlation and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to drive OEM device requirements, vendor interaction, device performance verification, integration and release.
  • Ability to translate system performance requirements to controls and EE requirements for components, communication networks and controls architecture to provide solution for evolutional improvement of the design over product modifications.
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot complex and intermittent HW/SW issues with limited or inaccurate field information and/or data by applying fishbone analysis, issue source likelihood assessment, rapid experiment design and execution to dissect and identify the problem source.
  • Good Understanding of Data Structures and Signal Processing Algorithms.
  • Good Knowledge of TCP/IP, distributed system and computer networking concepts.
  • Good knowledge in basics of electrical and electronics engineering.
  • Experience in Matlab and simulink
  • Knowledge of Model based development
  • Experience in PLC and other automation software
  • Understanding of controller Based automation like Digital I/O & Analog I/O.
  • Hands on experience in field instrumentation and knowledge about different sensors/ measurement methods.
  • Good understanding of IEC & NEMA standards and implement in design. Knowledge on SEMI S2 Standards is an added advantage.
  • Experience in version control tools like git, bit bucket etc.
  • Qualifications
  • B.E / B.Tech in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or related technical discipline and 3-5 years directly related experience
  • MS/M.Tech in Embedded or Controls Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge) with 2-3 years directly related experience preferred.
