SOC Design Verification Engineer


Job Title: Lead SOC Verification Engineer

Experience: 8–15 Years

Location: Bangalore


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead SOC Verification Engineer to drive the verification of complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. The candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing verification strategies, leading verification teams, and ensuring first-pass silicon success for cutting-edge semiconductor products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SoC verification activities from architecture review through tape-out.
  • Develop comprehensive verification plans based on design specifications.
  • Create and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog-based verification environments.
  • Develop testcases, sequences, scoreboards, monitors, and functional coverage models.
  • Perform block-level, subsystem-level, and SoC-level verification.
  • Debug simulation failures and collaborate with design, architecture, and validation teams to resolve issues.
  • Analyze coverage metrics and drive coverage closure.
  • Verify complex protocols such as AMBA AXI/AHB/APB, PCIe, CXL, USB, Ethernet, DDR, HBM MIPI, etc.
  • Experience with integration verification of high speed memory sub-systems, and ARM/RISC-V based sub-systems
  • Review verification methodologies and mentor junior engineers.
  • Support emulation, FPGA prototyping, and post-silicon validation activities when required.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide verification sign-off recommendations.


Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Experience in coding and debugging C/C++ based tests for processor based sub-system integration.
  • Experience in SoC verification and integration verification.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard simulators such as VCS, Xcelium, QuestaSim
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, or Tcl.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.


Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
