Job Description

Robotics Jobs Buenos Aires (Remote)

Join Rex.zone to design, build, and validate robotics software components used in modern autonomy stacks. This role connects robotics engineering with rigorous evaluation loops, structured data collection, and measurable reliability improvements across real-world deployments.

About The Role

You will work across perception, localization (SLAM), motion planning, and control systems, with a strong focus on testing discipline, simulation-first workflows, and production readiness. You will collaborate with platform and QA teams to ship safe, reliable robot behaviors through structured experiments, failure analysis, and continuous integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain robotics features across perception, localization, planning, and control modules
  • Build and tune SLAM pipelines (VIO/LiDAR SLAM) and map lifecycle strategies
  • Implement motion planning (trajectory generation, collision checking) and control (PID/MPC) modules
  • Integrate sensor stacks (camera, LiDAR, IMU, wheel odometry) and build sensor fusion pipelines
  • Develop simulation-first workflows (e.g., Gazebo/Isaac/Unity) and validate against real-world logs
  • Establish QA gates: unit/integration tests, scenario libraries, benchmarks, and dashboards
  • Analyze failures using logs, playback, and root-cause analysis; propose fixes and prevention checks
  • Define data collection and labeling requirements for perception models; ensure annotation guidelines compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Production or large-scale pilot experience shipping robotics software
  • Strong C++ and Python skills; familiarity with ROS/ROS2 concepts (nodes, messages, TF, navigation)
  • Hands-on experience with SLAM, sensor fusion, or robot perception (computer vision pipelines)
  • Knowledge of motion planning and control fundamentals for mobile robots or manipulators
  • Experience building evaluation metrics, test harnesses, and CI pipelines for robotics
  • Clear communication and collaboration in a remote-first environment

Compensation

$30–$50/hour (USD)
