Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)
Rex.zone is hiring mid-senior Robotics Engineers to design, integrate, and validate robotic systems for real-world automation. You will work with distributed teams to ship reliable autonomy features from simulation to production.
What You Will Work On
-
Design robotics software architecture and implement ROS/ROS2 nodes, services, and autonomy pipelines
-
Build perception and sensor-fusion workflows using camera, LiDAR, IMU, encoders, and related telemetry
-
Improve motion planning, SLAM/localization, obstacle avoidance, and real-time control loops
-
Create simulation scenarios and regression tests to support sim-to-real deployment
-
Perform root-cause analysis using logs, metrics, visualization tools, and incident postmortems
-
Collaborate with software, hardware, and QA to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and rollout plans
Required Qualifications
-
Mid-senior experience delivering robotics features end-to-end (integration, testing, operational support)
-
Strong C++ (and/or Python) with performance- and reliability-focused engineering practices
-
Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience; familiarity with kinematics, dynamics, and control
-
Experience with motion planning, SLAM, sensor calibration, and debugging via logs/telemetry
Preferred Qualifications
-
Navigation stacks, behavior trees, and safety constraints for autonomy
-
Simulation frameworks (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or equivalent) and sim-to-real validation
-
Computer vision, point cloud processing, and perception pipelines
-
CI/CD, containerized deployment, and structured QA for embedded/edge robotics
