Job Description

Role Summary

As a Robotics Engineer, you will design and deploy robotics software and integrated systems for autonomous or semi-autonomous operation. You will work across perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control, connecting sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU, encoders) to robust real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ROS/ROS2 stacks for robot bring-up, drivers, transforms (tf2), and navigation
  • Implement or improve SLAM/localization pipelines using sensor fusion and probabilistic filtering
  • Develop motion planning and control strategies for mobile robots or manipulators
  • Integrate computer vision components for detection, tracking, depth estimation, and point cloud processing
  • Create simulation scenarios and automated test suites (e.g., Gazebo) to validate behavior
  • Debug latency, timing, and resource constraints on Linux-based embedded platforms
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and QA teams to improve reliability and field performance
  • Document interfaces, calibration steps, and operational procedures for reproducible deployments

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-to-senior experience delivering robotics features to production or field trials
  • Strong C++ and Python for robotics software development
  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (messages/services, navigation concepts, tf2)
  • Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, control basics, and state estimation
  • Experience with SLAM/localization and sensor fusion (IMU + wheel odometry + LiDAR/camera)
  • Linux debugging and performance profiling experience; clear technical documentation skills

Tools & Tech Stack

ROS/ROS2, C++, Python, Linux, Git, Gazebo simulation, navigation/mapping stacks, SLAM libraries, OpenCV, sensor drivers, profiling/debugging, and structured logging.

Compensation

$30–$50 per hour (base salary), depending on experience.
