Job Description

Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)

Robotics Engineer jobs in Argentina focus on designing, integrating, and validating robot software for real-world autonomy. You will build and ship autonomy features across ROS/ROS2 integration, perception, localization/SLAM, planning, and control, then validate behavior using simulation, logs, and on-robot testing to improve reliability and safety.

About The Role

As a Robotics Engineer, you will build and maintain autonomy and robot software components used in production environments. Typical workflows include ROS/ROS2 node development, sensor integration (camera, LiDAR, IMU), perception pipelines, mapping and localization (SLAM), motion planning, control loops, and simulation-based validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and ship robot software and autonomy features across the stack (ROS2, perception, SLAM, planning, control)
  • Integrate sensors and hardware drivers; ensure timing, calibration, and data quality for autonomy pipelines
  • Validate behavior with simulation (e.g., Gazebo), logs/telemetry, rosbag replay, and structured on-robot testing
  • Improve reliability via unit/integration tests, CI, scenario coverage, QA gates, and field test plans
  • Debug production issues using profiling, logs, and incident write-ups; reduce on-robot failure modes
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and ML partners; review PRs and document interfaces/assumptions

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-to-senior experience building robotics software used in real deployments
  • Strong C++ and Python skills; Linux proficiency
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 tools (tf, rosbag, rviz)
  • Hands-on experience with at least two of: perception, SLAM/localization, motion planning, control systems, embedded integration, or simulation
  • Ability to debug complex systems using logs, telemetry, and profiling; write clear documentation and tests

Preferred Qualifications

  • Safety practices, fault handling, and recovery behaviors for autonomy systems
  • Simulation stacks such as Gazebo/Ignition or Isaac Sim; Docker-based workflows and CI/CD
  • Sensor calibration, time synchronization, and awareness of real-time constraints
  • Experience in mobile robotics, manipulation, industrial automation, inspection, or field robotics

Remote Work Notes

This role is Remote and FULL_TIME . Some positions may include limited travel for field tests or hardware bring-up depending on the robot platform.
