Job Description

As part of its Embedded Systems Business Unit, TXT e-Tech is looking for an Avionic Software Engineer to support software certification activities for a safety-critical bootloader in aerospace applications, ensuring compliance with DO-178C requirements. The selected candidate will work alongside a team of experts in developing, verifying, and documenting software certification artifacts for embedded systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and verification of safety-critical embedded software for aerospace applications.
  • Assist in the preparation of DO-178C certification documentation (software development plans, verification plans, traceability matrices).
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests for embedded software.
  • Support requirement analysis and coverage assessment for software certification.
  • Contribute to software verification through static and dynamic analysis.
  • Review and assess the impact of existing certification artifacts for potential reuse.


Requirements

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of real-time embedded software development.
  • Familiarity with embedded software architectures and low-level firmware.
  • Proficiency in at least one structured programming language (C, C++, or Python preferred).


Optional Technical Skills:

  • Experience with static analysis tools, unit testing frameworks, or debugging on embedded platforms.
  • Experience with x86/64-bit Intel® TigerLake processor-based architectures.
  • Basic knowledge of Intel® Boot Guard, Intel® Firmware Support Package, Multiboot2 standard, Trusted Platform Module.
  • Familiarity with cryptographic concepts and embedded security.
  • Understanding of software version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with DO-178C principles and software certification standards.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • Good written and spoken English for documentation and reporting.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Space Engineering, or other equivalent STEM disciplines.
