We are seeking an experienced RF antenna engineer to join the Applications & Systems team based at Dukosi HQ in Edinburgh, focusing on our wireless communication-based solutions. All levels of experience will be considered up to and including Principal engineer level. You will collaborate with the wider engineering team to evaluate, maintain, and enhance Dukosi's wireless communications network.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in RF modelling tools, deep knowledge of wireless network systems, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Reliable communication is critical across the diverse target systems that will utilize our technology.
Additionally, a solid understanding of EMC testing and debugging would be advantageous to produce pre-compliance test reports for customers and support them as they develop their own systems.
Job Purpose
- To help Dukosi maximise design wins.
- Feed into the continuous improvement plan for hardware and software delivery.
- Support internal and external customers.

- Key contributor to the company approach of antenna network design and implementation
- Design new antenna solutions to maximize end-to-end network performance
- Guide members of the wider team in the complexities of RF applications
- Develop and implement test strategies for RF antenna networks
- Execute tests to validate physical antenna performance
- Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing and provide detailed reports to the application team
- Collaborate with development teams to understand antenna system requirements and testing needs
- Work alongside Customer Support Team to provide technical support as required
- Assist in the design and development of PCBs to maximize RF signal performance

Participate in design reviews to ensure that designs meet functional and performance requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' industrial experience as an RF antenna engineer
- Strong knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment
- Advanced knowledge of near-field and far-field RF communication
- Proficiency in RF simulation tools; experience with CST Studio Suite would be beneficial
- Experience in PCB antenna design and involvement in the evolution of the technology
- Skilled in troubleshooting network issues
- Competence in conducting lab tests using RF test equipment
- Ability to resolve common problems related to EMC
- Commitment to continuous improvement and incorporating active feedback from users
- Proven track record of customer technical support and development of customer-facing solutions at all stages of the product life cycle
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to demonstrate initiative and innovation in RF engineering solutions
- Capable of managing changing priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Experience delivering training to diverse audiences
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to travel when required

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
