For our client, a leading international provider of automation technologies for industrial, logistics, and retail applications, we are currently supporting the recruitment of an R&D Embedded Software Engineer.

We are looking for an R&D Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D division. The selected candidate will support the definition, development, and validation of embedded hardware platforms. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside cross-functional teams throughout the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement medium to complex software subsystems within a larger embedded system.
- Apply best practices in embedded software development and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Take ownership of design choices and lead technical discussions with peers.
- Collaborate effectively with the Validation & Verification team during integration and troubleshooting phases.
- Support internal processes for product development and ensure documentation is properly maintained.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.
Technical Requirements:
- 3–4 years of experience in embedded systems development within structured environments (with tools/processes such as requirements tracking, version control systems, bug tracking, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Experience in embedded system design and integration.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g. Git), build systems (e.g. CMake), and development environments (e.g. VSCode).
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design patterns.
- Experience with tools for software lifecycle management (bug tracking, CI/CD, etc.).
- Exposure to Linux application development and AI algorithm deployment on embedded platforms.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Linux kernel space programming (e.g., drivers for I2C, SPI, PCI, USB).
- Familiarity with the Yocto Project.
- Experience in international and cross-functional development teams.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
