MaxLinear is seeking a Principal SOC Design Engineer to join our VLSI group. You will be responsible for pre-silicon RTL coding of block, subsystem and top level SOC Integration. With deep understanding of design architecture and meticulous attention to details, you will develop robust and reusable Code and ensure that VHDL or Verilog implementation enables readiness for Verification, Synthesis, DfT and Low Power Insertion. In this role , your focus will be:
- Lead the front-end design activities for the integration of complex System on Chips
- Pre-silicon RTL Coding of block, IP and top-level SOC Integration
- Develop reusable RTL Code, using Generic and Modular Coding Style
- Contribute to verification plan from specification and in coordination with architects
- Collaborate on Timing constraints, Testability and Insertion of Low Power Structure such as Power gating, Isolation and Retention Sequential Elements
- Own Linting, CDC, RDC and collaborate with Verification Team and Physical Design

Co-work with Architecture/ Design/Validation/SW teams. Own cross functional micro-architecture and implementation and drive issues to closure
- Bachelor Degree or Master's in Electronics Engineering with 8+ years of experience
- Expert in VHDL and Verilog Coding, Front End Design using best-in-class methodology and Micro-architecture
- Should have developed Multi-Million gates IP and integrated heterogenous complex SoC, including Analog and Mixed Signal IP
- Participated in Micro-architecture Specification
- Familiar with Hardware-Software Partitioning, Multi-CPU and Multi-Core Architecture
- Deep knowledge and understanding of NoC and multi-layer complex Interconnect Systems
- Solid verification skills in problem solving, constrained random testing and debugging
- Expertise with Code Linting tools and Static Code checker such as Spyglass, Real Intent, etc
- Expertise in IP-XACT, Connectivity Checks, Register Interfaces and RTL Assembly Tools
- Experience of working with ARM and ARM Eco-system, SERDES systems, communication peripherals (UART, I2C, SPI), power management is a plus
- Experience in WiFi/DOCSIS/Ethernet/DSP/DDR is a plus

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
