PCB Design Engineer

EVtron Tech is a startup focused on designing, manufacturing, and deploying electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for logistics fleets, factories, and commercial facilities.

Our mission is to accelerate India’s transition to sustainable mobility through reliable EV charging hardware, smart charging software, and turnkey deployment solutions.

We manufacture our own EV chargers and develop an in-house Charging Management System (CMS) that enables operators to monitor and manage charging infrastructure through web and mobile platforms.

Role Description

We are looking for a PCB Design Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the design and development of next-generation EV charging products.

This role is ideal for candidates who have strong PCB design skills along with an interest in product development and execution. In addition to schematic and PCB design activities, the candidate will work closely with firmware, hardware, vendors, testing labs, and founders to support end-to-end product development activities.

The role offers exposure to electronics design, prototype development, testing, certifications, vendor interactions, and product execution in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design schematics and multi-layer PCBs for EV charging products and related electronic systems.
• Create and maintain PCB libraries, component databases, and design documentation.
• Support component selection, BOM preparation, and design reviews.
• Coordinate with firmware, hardware, and mechanical teams during product development activities.
• Work with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for prototype development and manufacturing support.
• Support board bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation activities.
• Participate in technical discussions with vendors, customers, and external partners when required.
• Coordinate sample procurement, component evaluation, and technical follow-ups with suppliers.
• Support certification, compliance, and lab testing activities for EV charging products.
• Maintain design records, technical documentation, and product development reports.
• Support patent filing, technical documentation, and new product development initiatives when required.
• Track development progress, pending actions, and execution milestones to support timely project completion.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, EEE, ECE, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, or related fields.
• 1–5 years of experience in PCB design, electronics product development, embedded systems, EV, industrial automation, or related domains.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of analog and digital electronics.
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing, assembly, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) practices.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and execution skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

It's a Plus If You Have

• Experience working on EV chargers, power electronics, embedded systems, or industrial electronic products.
• Exposure to high-power electronics, power supplies, converters, or motor control systems.
• Experience with board bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation activities.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC, safety standards, certifications, or compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating with PCB vendors, component suppliers, or testing laboratories.
• Startup experience or experience handling multiple responsibilities independently.
• Interest in sustainable mobility and EV infrastructure.
