Job Description

Yalantis is looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join an IoT project in the retail monitoring domain.

The project is an IoT camera hardware system mounted inside retail coolers. The device enables real-time cooler monitoring, including product recognition, temperature tracking, and door interaction detection.

The solution helps collect data on cooler usage, analyze cooler performance, and provide insights for further improvement and optimization.


Responsibilities:

— Perform schematic capture and PCB design.

— Redesign PCB according to updated device size and product requirements.

— Work with Altium Designer.

— Support board bring-up, validation, and debugging.

— Analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues.

— Support EMC/EMI analysis.

— Apply DFM/DFT principles.

— Support the full product lifecycle: PRD, EVT, DVT, PVT, MP, EOL.

— Manage BOM and support mass production maintenance.

— Work closely with engineering and production stakeholders to ensure the device is production-ready.


Requirements:

— 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering.

— Strong experience with PCB design in Altium Designer.

— Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.

— Experience with IoT devices or connected hardware products.

— Hands-on experience with board bring-up, validation, debugging, and issue fixing.

— Understanding of EMC/EMI principles.

— Experience with DFM/DFT.

— Experience with production-ready devices, not only prototypes.

— Understanding of product lifecycle stages: EVT, DVT, PVT, MP.

— Experience with BOM management and production documentation.

— Proactive approach, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

— English level: Intermediate Strong.


Nice to have:

— Experience with camera-based IoT devices.

— Experience with retail monitoring, smart coolers, or environmental monitoring devices.

— Experience working with EMS/manufacturing partners.

— Experience with certification or pre-compliance testing.
