Key Responsibilities
Tester Development & Integration
-
Design, build, and maintain subsystem testers, including:
-
Power distribution and protection
-
Signal conditioning and measurement
-
Control, interlocks, and safety circuits
-
Develop custom test hardware including fixture schematics, wiring harnesses, and test jigs.
-
Integrate testers with:
-
Mechanical fixtures
-
Sensors, actuators, power electronics, and embedded systems
-
Lab and production environments
Electrical Characterization & Debugging
-
Perform electrical characterization of subsystems:
-
Voltage/current measurements
-
Signal integrity and timing analysis
-
Noise, grounding
-
Troubleshoot complex issues involving:
-
Analog and digital electronics
-
Power supplies, converters, and motor drives
-
Communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB)
Hands On Lab Execution
-
Support & own test execution in the lab, including:
-
Bring up of new testers and subsystems
-
Debug under schedule pressure
-
Support for design verification and troubleshooting activities
-
Use lab equipment extensively, including:
-
Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power analyzers
-
Environmental and stress testing setups (as applicable)
Collaboration
-
Work closely with:
-
Design engineers (EE, ME, firmware, systems)
-
Manufacturing

Required Qualifications
-
BTech or Equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
-
7+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, with the majority focused on:
-
Test system or tester development
-
Subsystem level electrical integration and characterization
-
Demonstrated experience designing, circuit analysis and debugging:
-
Analog and digital circuits
-
Power electronics and low voltage/high current systems
-
Demonstrated experience in complex electrical system design and integration
-
Strong analytical skill in circuit analysis, failure diagnostics
-
Strong in logical reasoning and ability in root cause analysis and proactive corrective actions.
-
Strong practical troubleshooting skills using lab instrumentation
-
Experience taking test systems from concept → build → bring up → sustained support
-
Ability to work directly in the lab and drive issues to closure
-
Ability to clearly document designs, test results, and design changes
-
Experience across the product development lifecycle is a plus
