We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

Design wire harnessing for satellite systems, considering mechanical, electrical, and payload requirements.
Support make vs. buy decisions and optimize manufacturing and integration for high-rate production.
Engage with suppliers and manufacturers for component and assembly qualification.
Develop specifications and procure power/data harnesses meeting electrical design requirements like current rating, shielding, and EMI/EMC.
Define and perform harness qualification and acceptance tests for launch environments and mission life.
Create 3D CAD routings, 2D manufacturing drawings, schematics, and assembly installation drawings.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance, or hands-on engineering.
Experience with prototyping and implementation.
Proficiency in modeling, project management, CAD, and software programming tools.
Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability.
1+ years of experience in wiring selection based on current de-rating, voltage drop, shielding, and mechanical strength.
