Hardware Engineer

The Role

• Play a key role in the design and development of next-generation Ethernet switching platforms for world-class data centers.

• Drive hardware board design with expertise in terabit switch fabrics, high-speed interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, and network processors.

• Define architectural requirements, create specifications, select key components, and oversee detailed design for modular chassis-based products.

• Collaborate closely with PCB designers, conduct testing, and manage the transition to manufacturing.

• Apply skills in simulation, timing analysis, thermal analysis, and EMC.

• Act as a technical lead for high-speed digital design in the networking field, from concept to mass production.

What You'll Need

• Strong experience in hardware board and systems development, with a proven track record of taking products from concept to mass production.

• Expertise in motherboard design, including schematic capture, stackup, and circuit board layout.

• Significant experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, memory design, network processors, and common communication protocols (I2C, USB).

• Proficiency in high-speed PCB design and AC/DC power integrity analysis.

• Experience in CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog.

• Ability to troubleshoot using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and specialized test equipment.

• Proven experience as a project and technical lead, with strong program management skills.

• Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams (mechanical, SI, diagnostics, manufacturing) and external partners (ODMs/JDMs).
