Firmware Test Engineer

Looking for an experienced Firmware Test Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in embedded firmware testing, automation, and communication protocols. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in embedded systems, RF/BLE communication, C#/.NET-based test automation, CI/CD environments, and Azure DevOps, with hands-on experience testing IoT or connected devices. Immediate joiners who can work from the Bangalore office are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform firmware functional testing for embedded systems.
• Validate communication protocols, firmware state machines, and device behavior.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using C#/.NET.
• Execute testing on radio communication systems, BLE, and IoT devices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated regression environments.
• Manage test cases and execution using Azure DevOps.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and debugging.
• Experience testing communication protocols and firmware state machines.
• Knowledge of RTOS-based systems (e.g., FreeRTOS) is desirable.
• Understanding of RF fundamentals including RSSI, sensitivity, bandwidth, and modulation.
• Experience with Serial communication, BLE, OTA firmware upgrade/rollback, and battery-operated devices.
• Strong programming skills in C#/.NET.
• Experience with automation framework development and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with sub-GHz radios, BLE, or IoT devices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Test Management.
