Job Description:

Ramora Technologies is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mysore. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with 5+ years of experience in firmware development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain firmware for embedded systems using C programming language.
• Work on microcontroller development using popular IDEs such as Eclipse, IAR, and KEIL.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of data structures and design principles.
• Implement and optimise serial communication protocols, including I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement firmware solutions that meet product requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in firmware development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in firmware development.
• Proven experience developing production firmware for Linux-based embedded systems.
• Deep understanding of RTOS, device drivers, networking stacks, and hardware interfaces.
• Experience with edge computing architectures and distributed device intelligence.
• Familiarity with modern IoT frameworks, containerisation, and secure OTA update mechanisms.
• Strong software engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and version control.
• Experience optimising performance, memory usage, and power consumption in constrained environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for connected devices.
• Ability to contribute to system architecture, not just firmware implementation.
