Job Description: Firmware Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Experience: 4 – 6 Years

Location: Bangalore

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer with hands-on experience in embedded firmware development across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. The candidate will be responsible for feature development, debugging complex issues, and supporting hardware bring-up activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments
• Triage, analyze, debug, and resolve complex firmware issues
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely feature delivery and issue resolution
• Perform feasibility analysis for new customer requirements and emerging technologies
• Participate in ASIC and hardware bring-up activities
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
• Build strong technical relationships with stakeholders and engineering teams
• Take ownership of deliverables and ensure closure of assigned tasks

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in firmware development
• Strong experience with ARM / RISC-V or similar architectures
• Proficiency in C and Assembly programming
• Experience in:
• Bare-metal firmware development
• RTOS-based systems
• Strong debugging skills using embedded debugging tools
• Hands-on experience with peripherals/controllers:
• UART, I2C, SPI, QSPI
• Experience working across:
• Emulation, simulation, and post-silicon environments
• Working knowledge of Git/Gerrit version control systems
• High attention to code quality and detail

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to semiconductor domain
• Experience in ASIC bring-up and validation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated and quick learner

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Or equivalent
