About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated intern with a Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with VLSI specialization to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exposure to VLSI design and validation basics. Exposure to high speed design challenges is an added plus. This Job roles offers a unique opportunity to work on next-generation Altera FPGA products, focusing on Post-Silicon system validation of high speed transceiver protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support FPGA post-silicon system validation group on any current/future executing projects or new methodology initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of innovative solutions to enhance validation and debugging processes.
  • Document technical specifications and project progress.
  • Work closely with rest of the validation team to understand the flows and methodologies used within the team.
  • Present findings and project updates to a wider audience as required.

What You'll Gain

  • Depending on pre-silicon vs post silicon coverage, get system Verilog, python, tcl, unix skills
  • Exposure to FPGA, Quartus tool to generate designs, for validation,
  • Exposure to platform setup, hardware equipment, automation systems
  • Pick domain expertise regarding 802.3* or any high speed XCVR based protocols

Expected Outcomes

  • Successful completion of any activity or initiative to enhance efficiency and quality in post-silicon validation processes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree/ Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 12-15 years of industry experience
  • Post silicon validation experience required, especially experienced in high-speed transceiver protocols like Ethernet, CPRI, JESD, display protocols, SATA etc.
  • Deep understanding of high speed transceiver architecture and applications.
  • Exposure to RTL design or FPGA design is a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving and debug skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven and self-starter
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and build relationship across organizations.

Preferences

  • HDL – VHDL, Verilog, SV
  • Any scripting – tcl, perl, python
  • FPGA, FPGA tool (Quartus or Vivado) would be added bonus
  • Willingness to learn
  • Willingness to work with multiple team members to get the work done
  • Ability to present the work done to team.
