As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enables the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.Responsibilities- Develop and productize various video solutions on Qualcomm processors.- Enhance video and imaging firmware solutions and support video and imaging hardware subsystem enhancements in future Qualcomm mobile processors.- Design video and imaging features and work with a wide range of teams across the company (systems, software, hardware, etc.) during productization.- Engage with customers to commercialize Qualcomm video solutions.
Skills/experienceRecent and relevant experience of 3-5 years required in one or more of the following areas:Embedded systems domainSolid C programming skills, multithreading and OS concepts\fundamentalsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement and debug video\multimedia features for mobiles.Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to guide team members on assignmentsAble to lead team of 2-5 engineers, handle task assignments, decide strategy for the teamHas good decision making, resource planning skills
Preferred SkillsGood understanding of signal processing, video compression\codecs (Encoder + Decoder) and other video pre/post processing algorithms.Any of the multimedia (Video, Camera, Computer Vision) domain experience.Hands on knowledge\experience on H.264\HEVC\VP9\MPEG family video codec(s) development, porting and optimization
