Embedded Systems & Edge Integration Engineer

About the Role

DromoLys Research & Development Pvt. Ltd. is hiring an Embedded Systems & Edge Integration Engineer for the DromoTrax™️ prototype development team in Kochi.

DromoTrax™️ is our portable road-condition intelligence system that integrates cameras, GNSS, IMU, embedded Linux, edge computing, sensor data capture, and AI-based pavement analytics.

This is a hands-on prototype-building role. The selected engineer will work close to the product, supporting sensor integration, embedded Linux systems, camera/data capture workflows, edge-device setup, testing, and field-readiness preparation.

What You Will Work On

Your work will include:

• Integrating sensors, cameras, GNSS, IMU, storage, and edge-compute devices
• Working with embedded Linux systems such as Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or ARM-based platforms
• Developing Python/C++ scripts for data capture, timestamping, diagnostics, and logging
• Supporting camera pipelines using OpenCV, GStreamer, V4L2, or equivalent tools
• Debugging UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, USB, Ethernet, and serial communication issues
• Preparing the prototype for lab testing and field deployment
• ⁠Documenting setup procedures, test results, and troubleshooting steps

Skills We Are Looking For

• Embedded systems and hardware-software integration
• Embedded Linux / Linux command-line debugging
• Python and C/C++
• Raspberry Pi / NVIDIA Jetson / ARM platforms
• Sensor integration using UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, USB, GNSS, or IMU
• Camera or data capture workflows
• Robotics, IoT, automation, automotive embedded systems, or real-time data acquisition
• Basic electronics debugging and prototype testing

Preferred Exposure

• OpenCV, GStreamer, or V4L2
• RTK-GNSS / IMU logging
• ROS / ROS2
• MQTT / REST APIs
• ⁠Docker
• Git / GitHub
• Computer vision or sensor fusion basics
• Field prototype testing

Who Should Apply

We value working projects, prototype experience, practical debugging ability, and clear documentation more than certificates alone.
