Job Description

Embedded Software developers - Build the Firmware Behind Exceptional Sound

Build the embedded platforms behind world-class professional audio systems. At Pascal, your firmware will power products used by leading global audio brands — where reliability, performance, and real-time precision truly matter.

We’re hiring three profiles for our Embedded Team, including 1–2 senior developers and one profile with strong Linux/Yocto experience. Whether your strength lies in low-level firmware, hardware-near debugging, or Linux integration, you’ll join a team where technical craftsmanship, curiosity, and collaboration are at the core of everything we do.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for Pascal’s professional audio amplifiers and audio platforms

• Work hands-on with production hardware in close collaboration with hardware engineers and cross-functional R&D teams

• Design, implement, test, and optimize firmware in resource-constrained embedded environments using C/C++

• Develop robust solutions for real-time systems, including interrupt-driven architectures, DMA, timers, and communication interfaces

• Troubleshoot and debug hardware-near software using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD tools

• Contribute to firmware architecture, code quality, and long-term maintainability across products and platforms

• Participate in integration work across embedded systems and Linux-based environments, including Yocto for selected profiles

• Support the implementation of secure firmware updates, bootloaders, and system protection mechanisms

• Collaborate closely with software, electronics, and operations teams to ensure scalable and production-ready solutions

• Help strengthen development processes and engineering practices as the organization continues its scale-up journey.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with embedded firmware development on production hardware

• Strong C/C++ skills for embedded and resource-constrained environments

• Solid understanding of microcontroller architectures such as ARM Cortex-M or similar

• Experience with real-time embedded systems, interrupts, timers, DMA, and hardware-near development

• Understanding of communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, or Ethernet

• Ability to read schematics and collaborate effectively with hardware engineers

• Experience with debugging tools and embedded troubleshooting methodologies

• A structured and quality-driven approach — you care about building firmware that is stable and reliable in operation

• Excellent communication skills in English.

It’s a Plus If You Also Bring

• Experience from the audio industry or a passion for professional audio products

• Experience with Linux and Yocto-based embedded environments

• Familiarity with TI, STM32, NXP, or similar MCU platforms

• Knowledge of audio DSP or digital audio interfaces

• Experience with bootloaders, secure firmware updates, or field update mechanisms

• Understanding of protection systems such as temperature, voltage, and current monitoring

• Experience with CI pipelines for embedded firmware development

• Knowledge of functional safety principles or robust fault-handling mechanisms

• Danish language skills.

What’s In It For You

At Pascal, you’ll get more than “just” a job...

• Play a key role in developing embedded software for products trusted by some of the world’s most renowned pro-audio brands — your work will directly shape the performance and reliability behind Pascal’s technology

• Join a highly skilled and passionate software team where technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration are part of everyday work

• Work in an environment where you have real ownership and responsibility, with the freedom to influence both technical solutions and ways of working

• Be part of a company moving from start-up mindset toward scale-up maturity — where processes are evolving, but agility and innovation remain strong

• Enjoy flexible ways of working, surrounded by talented colleagues in an informal setting where we hold each other to high standards — and help each other reach them

• Experience a Scandinavian approach to work: healthy work–life balance, trust in your abilities, and the freedom to do your best work in the way that works best for you

• Join a culture built on care, creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for sound — where diverse perspectives help us create something truly special.
