The Role

• Develop C++ software components for unmanned, automated, and autonomous systems

• Conceptualize and implement software architectures and specifications for complex environments

• Contribute to the development and execution of test procedures and communication interface implementation

• Advance existing components and introduce new ideas within an agile development team

• Conduct research and trend observation in AI, Machine Learning, and Autonomy

• Support national and international research projects focused on maritime autonomy

What You'll Need

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

• Strong C++ knowledge and experience in software architecture, design, testing, CMake, and Continuous Integration (ideally with GitLab)

• Practical experience with modern software development methods (Clean Code, Software Craftsmanship)

• Interest or experience in Autonomy, Guidance, Obstacle Avoidance (2D/3D), SDF, or AUV technology

• Team-oriented and communicative with a structured approach to work

• Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)

• Willingness to travel occasionally for national and international business trips
