Job Description

Test Automation Engineer
Description
Design / Build custom test fixtures and tools
Design / Implement test automation infrastructure
Subject matter expert on Honeywell Smart Metering Products, testing strategy & testing processes.
Create test plan, that flushes out test strategy, coverage requirements, test scenarios and the resource needs for a project. Review test plans with cross functional team (Development and other Test Engineers) to ensure proper coverage for each feature / product.
Create and review of detailed test plans to ensure coverage and quality
Create test scripts that meet the team definition of done
Run automated regressions, review failures, make adjustment to scripts as needed.
Troubleshoot and Maintain existing test fixtures. Includes debugging hardware and software
Able to work in Firmware Verification, System / Product Verification or Solution Verification
Work with cross functional agile teams located at multiple Honeywell locations around the globe
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or Computer Science
1 to 2 Years of experience in Embedded product testing and validation
0.6-1 years’ Experience with Object Oriented programming
Python Scripting
C++/C#
Experience with software management tools ( SVN, GIT, Bitbucket, etc. )
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Able to adapt and solve problems in an unstructured environment, with minimal supervision
Preferred - Experience with Embedded Systems (testing or developing)
Preferred – Electric Metering Experience ( ANSI, C12.22, DLMS)
Preferred – Network Communication & protocols (Cellular, IPv4, IPv6, NBiOT, RF )
Preferred – PC troubleshooting / maintenance experience
Preferred – Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools ( Jira, Rally, etc. )
Preferred – Hardware test, design, or debug experience. Ability to solder
Preferred – Willing to work as Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Team Lead

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
