We are looking for a visionary AI Engineer to bridge the gap between cutting-edge Machine Learning and next-generation embedded systems, turning complex sensor data into magical, real-time experiences. This role is a key member of the Play Intelligence team (part of the LEGO Creative Play Lab), which is responsible for building the next generation of LEGO Play experiences.


Core Responsibilities

• Implement efficient algorithms for real-time processing of sensor data.
• Develop and implement Machine Learning algorithms for embedded systems, including microcontrollers and System-on-Chips for the next generation of Play.
• Design and implement optimized software for low-power embedded systems.
• Engineer products that follow highest coding standards, documentation and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with the latest new Machine Learning and embedded systems technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with teams in London, Billund and Boston
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate AI solution to products
  
  
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Solid experience in designing and optimizing algorithms for resource constrained devices, preferably in production environments. Track record of delivering high quality solutions.
• Experience on embedded products with a focus on Machine Learning applications, preferably already in the market.
• Experience with microcontroller architectures and programming.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks for edge computing.
• Ability to design and execute test plans for AI models and algorithms on edge devices.
• Solid experience with software design, implementation, debugging and profiling.
• Proven ability to break down the large-scale problems to actionable tasks, using critical and analytical thinking to deliver timely solutions.

• Experience with real time data processing and analytics
• Experience with sensor data integration and communication protocols used in Edge AI
• Strong background in digital signal processing for feature extraction from raw signal data
