Job Description

Join a fast-growing, full-stack Quantum Computing company to build the RF control hardware that powers their quantum computers. As part of the Quantum Hardware team, you'll design and characterize analog/RF integrated circuits for scalable quantum systems — working at the frontier of cryogenic electronics.

You'll design, simulate, lay out, and help characterize custom analog/RF IC blocks that control and read out qubits — with the opportunity to grow deep expertise in cryogenic CMOS design and characterization.

Requirements

  • Master's / PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics (strong recent PhD graduates welcome)
  • ~2+ years of relevant experience (academic/research experience counts)
  • Hands-on custom analog/RF IC design — designing and simulating frontend blocks such as LNAs, TIAs, mixers, LOs, ADCs, or DACs in 65nm / 40nm / 22nm technology nodes
  • Layout and post-layout verification of blocks (standalone and integrated into the signal chain)
  • Proven tape-out experience in one or more analog/RF signal-chain blocks (LNAs, TIAs, mixers, LOs, ADCs, DACs) at 65/40/22nm
  • Proficiency in EDA tools — Cadence, Mentor, or Synopsys for analog and RF design
  • Comfortable with Linux and scripting (TCL/Python)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred

Cryogenic CMOS device modeling and characterization at <4K (DC + RF: S-parameter and noise measurements)
  • CMOS device modeling at cryogenic temperatures across 65/40/22nm nodes
  • Experience working with foundry PDK teams to develop device structures (diodes, MOS/BJT transistors across all corners, passives) toward building a cryogenic PDK
  • PCB design and designing experiment plans for cryogenic characterization
  • Exposure to superconducting qubit control or readout systems

  • Why This Role

A rare opportunity to design silicon at the intersection of analog IC design, RF, and quantum computing — building hardware that doesn't exist off the shelf, inside a fast-growing, full-stack quantum company.
