Scope of Role

As a BSW Developer , you will be part of the ED domain team with full responsibility for deliveries related to Base Software (BSW) and Complex Device Driver (CDD) implementation for inverter control systems, test vehicles, and vehicle projects.

Your primary focus will be to configure Base Software according to the AUTOSAR standard for specific targets. You will work with BSW configuration and inverter‑related CDD implementation , as well as requirement analysis, integration of BSW and software components (SWC), and issue management.

You will collaborate closely with system designers, software architects, and software developers , contributing to system clarification, work processes, system design, and quality assurance activities in line with ASPICE and ISO 26262 .


Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure AUTOSAR Base Software (BSW) , including areas such as:
  • Memory protection
  • Watchdog Manager (WDGM)
  • Software partitioning
  • Perform requirement analysis , implementation, and integration of BSW and CDD
  • Manage and resolve software issues, including:
  • Root cause analysis
  • Technical investigations
  • Documentation of findings and solutions
  • Support integration activities between BSW and Software Components (SWC)
  • Contribute to embedded software implementation and system integration
  • Collaborate closely with system designers, software architects, and developers to clarify: Specifications, System design, Work processes, Quality assurance activities
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation in compliance with ASPICE and ISO 26262


Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics , or similar
  • Strong programming skills in C
  • Minimum 4 years of documented experience working with:
  • AUTOSAR BSW
  • MCAL
  • Solid general knowledge of Software Engineering
  • Good debugging skills, including experience with tools such as Trace32
  • Experience with Complex Device Driver (CDD) implementation and integration
  • Experience in Embedded Software Development

Meritorious Experience

  • Previous experience from the automotive industry
  • Experience working according to ISO 26262 and ASPICE
  • Experience with Infineon Tricore targets
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architect (EA)
  • Experience using requirement management tools (e.g. Elektra, Car Weaver or similar)
  • Familiarity with Vector tools , such as DaVinci Configurator and Developer
  • Experience working with Tier‑1 and Tier‑2 suppliers
