About the Program


The Global Semiconductor Exchange Program (GSEP) – Analog IC Design & Layou t is designed for aspiring engineers who wish to develop expertise in analog circuit design, custom IC layout, and semiconductor manufacturing workflows.

Participants will undergo immersive training at Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT), combining theoretical concepts with practical implementation and layout methodologies.


Program Structure


During the 1-month International Training in Shenzhen, China, you'll gain practical exposure to: -

• Structured Analog IC Design and Layout training

• Simulation-driven engineering exercises

• Semiconductor laboratory exposure

• Campus accommodation and international learning

• Technology ecosystem visits and collaborative activities


In the following 3 months, you'll gain hands-on industry experience through an On-the-Job Training (OJT) placement.


Responsibilities

Participants will gain exposure to topics including:

  • Diodes, MOS transistors, and analog device fundamentals
  • Large- and small-signal circuit analysis
  • Amplifier design and feedback techniques
  • IC layout flow and matching strategies
  • Layout implementation for OP Amp, CMP, LPF, OSC, and ESD circuits
  • End-to-end LDO chip layout and verification
  • Post-layout extraction and physical verification processes

  • Who We're Looking For

    • Fresh graduates or final-year students in:

    - Electrical & Electronics Engineering

    - Mechatronics Engineering

    - Computer Engineering

    - Biomedical Engineering

    - Physics

    - Electronic Science and Technology

    - Communication Engineering

    - Microelectronics Science and Engineering

    - Electronic Information Science and Technology

    - or other related disciplines

    • Strong interest in semiconductor technology and Analog IC Design

    • Basic understanding of circuit analysis and semiconductor fundamentals is advantageous

    • Eagerness to learn through practical, hands-on engineering activities

    • Willingness to participate in the overseas training and subsequent OJT program
