AI Robotics Engineer

Munich, Germany (Hybrid)

Autonomous Robotics | Deep Tech | Intelligent Automation


For one of our clients, a rapidly growing Autonomous Robotics scale-up based in Munich, we are looking for an AI Robotics Engineer to help develop the software intelligence powering advanced autonomous robotic systems.


Working at the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, and computer vision, you'll build perception, planning, and control systems that enable robots to safely navigate and interact with complex real-world environments.

What You'll Be Working On

• Developing AI software for autonomous robotic systems

• Building perception pipelines using cameras, LiDAR, and other sensor technologies

• Designing localisation, navigation, and motion planning algorithms

• Integrating Computer Vision and Sensor Fusion into real-time robotic applications

• Collaborating with hardware, embedded software, and AI teams to optimise system performance

• Improving autonomy, reliability, and decision-making capabilities in production robots

• Testing and validating robotic systems in simulated and real-world environments


Experience Required

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Robotics Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or Autonomous Systems

• Strong Python and modern C++ development skills

• Hands-on experience with ROS2 and robotic software architectures

• Experience developing perception, navigation, or planning systems

• Understanding of Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, or autonomous navigation concepts

• Passion for solving complex real-world robotics challenges


Nice to Have

• NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Isaac ROS

• SLAM, localisation, or path planning experience

• LiDAR, stereo vision, or depth sensing technologies

• Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Embedded Linux or Edge AI deployment

• Experience working on autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), industrial robotics, drones, or humanoid robots
