The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain.
It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a hosting entity for EuroHPC JU.
The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress.
BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D across computer and computational science with over **** staff from 60 countries.

Design and implement advanced features for the VPU, especially improving the out of order execution and short vector execution.

Requirements
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Architecture or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Essential Knowledge And Professional Experience
3-5 years of experience
Competences
Knowledge in computer architecture and RTL design
Conditions
The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department
Full-time contract (37.5h/week) with a good working environment, state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, and relocation support
Duration: Open-ended contract tied to project and budget duration
Holidays: 22 days + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per collective agreement
Salary: competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and cost of living in Barcelona
Starting date: 01/02/2026

Recruitment Process
The selection is conducted through a competitive examination system.
The Process Includes
Curriculum Analysis: evaluation of experience, degree, training, and other relevant information (40 points)
Interview: evaluation of technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and personal competencies (60 points).
A minimum of 30 points is required to be eligible.
The recruitment panel will include at least three people with diverse representation.
