YOUR ROLE
As a Field Application Engineer, you will provide technical support on automotive smart power devices for xEV electrification, powertrain, and safety applications. You will work closely with customers’ engineering teams to ensure our products are successfully designed into their systems and meet their technical and business requirements. Through your technical expertise and customer interaction, you will also contribute to new business opportunities and the growth of our automotive business.

Provide technical support to customers on automotive smart power devices, including electrification, powertrain, and safety applications and products.

Identify new business opportunities through technical support and design-in activities.

Cooperate with customer engineers to investigate technical problems in both software and hardware, and drive root cause analysis and resolution.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key engineers at key customer accounts.

Act as the technical voice of the customer internally to ensure that our products and roadmaps meet customer needs.

Contribute to the growth of our business as a field engineer by supporting successful customer projects and design wins.
Your Skills & Experiences
-
Proven experience as a Field Application Engineer (or similar customer-facing technical role) in the Powertrain & Safety domain and/or automotive ASIC.

8 to 12 years of working experience in the semiconductor or electronic hardware industry, with a focus on automotive applications or customers.

Solid technical and market knowledge of xEV system applications, such as:

Battery Management System (BMS)
-
Vehicle Control Unit (VCU)
-
DCDC Converter
-
System-level expertise in electric vehicle (xEV) architectures, with experience in electric car system development and related projects, is preferred.

Hands-on experience in hardware design for xEV systems (e.g. BMS) and/or ASIC design is preferred.

Strong knowledge of software and hardware integration, with solid problem analysis and problem-solving skills.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
