Title: Sr. Specialist, RF Engineer
Salary: $155,000 - $165,000
Location: Greater Baltimore, MD Area (Onsite)

A specialized engineering organization supporting advanced defense and intelligence applications is seeking a Sr. Specialist, RF Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on the design and development of high-performance RF and microwave systems used in complex signal and radar-based environments. The Sr. Specialist, RF Engineer will be responsible for:

RF/Microwave Design - Develop RF and microwave circuitry for receivers, frequency converters, and related systems operating up to 18GHz+ using PCB-based designs.

System Architecture & Requirements - Support top-level requirements definition and system architecture, including allocation of functional requirements across subsystems.

Receiver & Signal Chain Development - Design and implement receiver architectures, including frequency planning, filtering, mixing, and frequency generation.

Technical Analysis - Perform spur analysis, cascade analysis, and design trade-off evaluations to meet performance requirements.

Technical Contribution & Leadership - Serve as a key design contributor on RF programs, supporting design reviews, customer presentations, and cross-functional engineering efforts.
The Sr. Specialist, RF Engineer should have the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

6+ years of experience in RF/microwave circuit design (or 4+ years with an advanced degree).

Hands-on experience designing PCB-based RF hardware, specifically supporting receivers and frequency conversion.

Experience with high-frequency design (GHz range, including up to 18GHz+).

Strong understanding of receiver design, frequency planning, RF filters, mixers, and PLL-based frequency generation.

Experience with RF design tools such as Keysight Genesys, OrCAD, MATLAB, SPICE, or similar.

Ability to contribute both independently and within cross-functional engineering teams.

Must be eligible to obtain security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
