Job Summary:
onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their Digital Systems Group team. As aDesign Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and define best in class digital flow methodologies. You will be a key contributor on a small but important team of digital engineers who add the brains to our highly complex analog products. We work in a fast paced and exciting environment to deliver high quality products to our distinguished and influential customers. The Digital Systems Group is comprised of 15 digital engineers spanning 3 global locations which centrally support digital development in multiple mobile space product lines. We meet weekly to discuss project status and brainstorm on technical hurdles. We have regular conference calls and sometimes on-site technical summits to share the latest methodology and/or IP developments. We encourage and financially support all forms of technical and soft training. Our team is a good mix of highly experienced hardware-centric Digital engineers and Computer Engineers who bring the advantages of Object-Oriented Programming to our verification infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to…
- Write micro-architecture specifications leveraging collaboration with cross-functional team members including analog designers, Application Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Managers
- Design and verify RTL code in a mixed signal chip environment
- Develop UVM-based testbenches and functional coverage to validate chip-level behavior (digital, analog, and digital/analog interface) and achieve first-pass silicon
- Develop and execute verification plans using state of the art software such as vManager
- Use AMS and similar mixed mode simulators to validate analog circuits behavior with digital components
- Collaborate with an international team to meet project deadlines and quality goals

Contribute on multiple projects that are essential to the mobile application space: battery charging, power management, interface signaling, audio systems, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Engineering (BSCE)
- 5+ years of professional experience in digital design and verification or equivalent
- Solid understanding of verification best practices such as verification planning, requirements tracking, and functional coverage required
- Experience in RTL, UVM, and System Verilog
- Experience in synchronous and clock-crossing design techniques
- Ability to communicate with an international team

- Master’s Degree in a similar field of study

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
