Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Embedded Engineer to take on a technical leadership role in the development of application software for Flight Systems, specifically focusing on development and integration of new features tailored for our Air Transport clients. This position offers a unique opportunity for an innovative engineer to influence the future of Flight Systems and contribute to groundbreaking solutions in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative features and facilitate in-depth technical discussions and design reviews to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Provide critical support for the investigation and resolution of integration and field issues, including managing challenges arising from legacy programs and platforms.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment and being recognized as a key problem solver within the team.
• Engage and establish a network with stakeholders to explore new technologies, incubate ideas, and gather information. Conduct competitive intelligence and intellectual property (IP) analysis to encourage innovation.
• Propel the New Product Introduction (NPI) pipeline within FS COE by proposing enhancements for User Interface, including concepts, prototypes, and proof of concepts.
  
  

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor of Engineering (BE/B. Tech) or Master of Engineering (M.E/M. Tech) with over 15 years of demonstrated experience in system and software design. Candidates should have experience with DO-178B certification, specifically with an avionics background.
• Product Proficiency: Strong understanding and proficiency in Flight Management System products.
• User Interface Development: Expertise in designing and developing User Interfaces for aviation applications.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in programming languages ADA and C++.
• FCI Development Experience: Extensive experience in developing and leading software packages/modules.
• Innovative Problem Solver: Must be an integrative thinker and innovative problem solver with the ability to quickly visualize solutions and generate creative ideas.
• Protocol Expertise: Solid knowledge of ARINC A661 and A429 protocols.
• Business Acumen: Good understanding of business objectives, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, both internal and external.
• Programming and Design Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in software programming and design across various programs.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, essential for working in a team-oriented environment.
